Zelensky discussed Patriot interceptor production licenses with Trump.

Ukraine and the USA have explored the potential for joint production of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems, as well as new avenues for a diplomatic resolution to the war.

This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his address following negotiations in Washington.

Zelensky’s Meeting with Trump — Agreements Reached

Zelensky positively assessed the consultations at the White House and conveyed condolences to the American side regarding an irreparable loss.

“A good meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office. Thank you for all that we are doing together to protect Ukrainian lives and achieve peace. First and foremost, I expressed our condolences to President Trump regarding the passing of Lindsey Graham. He was a true friend of Ukraine,” stated Zelensky.

During the meeting, key attention was paid to enhancing the protection of Ukraine’s skies and diplomatic efforts to end the war.

“We discussed licenses for the production of interceptors for Patriots and some other ideas that could help with the President. We also talked about diplomacy – it is important to energize the diplomatic process. Our teams will coordinate the details of their further communication. I am grateful to the United States for its strong support,” summarized the President of Ukraine.

We remind you that Zelensky arrived in Washington on July 28. The main focuses of the trip were a closed-door meeting with American leader Donald Trump and participation in the farewell ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham.

Earlier, it was reported that on July 28, Trump would hold separate meetings at the White House with Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
