Attacks by the Russian Federation’s army against civilians and Christian holy sites, such as the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra in the capital on June 15, are unacceptable.
This was stated by the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Ukraine, Julie Davis, on the embassy’s page.
The American diplomat emphasized that she had personally witnessed the destruction of a unique historical monument at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
“Attacks against civilians and Christian holy sites are unacceptable. This horrific violence must stop, and the war must end,” the statement said.
Davis also mentioned the strikes on residential buildings in Kyiv and the treacherous strike by the aggressor, the Russian Federation, on Kharkiv, which claimed the lives of five rescuers. It should be noted that the SES employees were working at the site of the impact when the occupiers struck them.
