Certain high-ranking American officials and top military personnel believe that Trump’s war with Iran has reached a stalemate.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Kane has privately communicated to Trump’s top advisors that the U.S. needs to find a way out of the conflict with Iran, as the nation’s military capabilities remain constrained.
This information was provided by sources familiar with the matter to CNN.
According to insiders, Kane believes that the military escalation options being considered could backfire, and air power alone is unlikely to achieve Trump’s objectives.
Sources indicate that Kane is not alone in his assessment that the conflict is at an impasse. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has discussed concerns about military escalation strategies and the necessity of seeking an exit from the war with other key officials, including CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Mark Rubio, and Vice President J.D. Vance, according to two sources.
The publication reached out to the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff. They stated that they do not discuss Kane’s confidential meetings.
“We do not discuss the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s confidential conversations with the Secretary of State or other senior officials, nor do we comment on anonymous, agenda-driven characterizations of those conversations by sources not privy to them,” the statement read.
